OUR STORY

EIGHT did not begin as a store.

Its story started more than fourteen years ago with TFH — The Fame Hamster, an underground project built around parties, people and Warsaw’s emerging creative scene. What began as a series of gatherings gradually became pop-ups, then a boutique, and eventually one of the city’s early independent concept stores.

TFH grew alongside a new generation of Polish fashion. It was a time when brands such as Local Heroes and MISBHV were emerging and Warsaw was developing a new creative identity of its own. The store became part of that movement — a place to discover young designers, but equally a place to meet, exchange ideas and become part of a community.

Its home at Szpitalna 8, in the historic Wedel tenement in the heart of Warsaw, became inseparable from the story. Over the years, the space evolved together with the people behind it. Fashion remained important, but the world around it became wider: art, collectible design, objects, flowers, exhibitions, conversations, dinners and cultural collaborations increasingly became part of its identity.

Eventually, the old definition of a concept store was no longer enough.

TFH became EIGHT.

The new name comes directly from the address that has witnessed much of this history. EIGHT represents the next chapter: less a traditional store and more a contemporary salon — a place where fashion, design, art, culture and people coexist.

Today, EIGHT brings together independent designers and artists with creatives, entrepreneurs, founders, diplomats, investors and cultural practitioners. Some come to discover an object or a new designer. Others come for an exhibition, a conversation, an event or simply to meet someone.

That is perhaps the one thing that has never changed since the underground parties of the early days: EIGHT has always been about bringing people together.

After more than fourteen years of evolution, EIGHT continues to change — while remaining rooted at Szpitalna 8, Warsaw, as a platform for discovery, dialogue and the ideas shaping what comes next.
