OGGI — good design deserves another life

OGGI — good design deserves another life

New at EIGHT: vintage design selected for the present.

Not everything new is better. And not everything old belongs in the past.

Joining EIGHT is OGGI, a brand founded by Margo Martyniuk, dedicated to discovering and bringing exceptional vintage objects back into circulation. Ceramics, glassware, decorative pieces and interior objects become part of the OGGI selection not because of passing trends, but because of their form, function and quality — qualities that have already stood the test of time.

It is an approach that feels particularly close to EIGHT.

OGGI means “today”

The name comes from Italian. Oggi — today.

One word that captures the philosophy behind the brand: the past does not have to remain in the past. Good design can exist in new contexts, change hands and become part of thoroughly contemporary interiors.

OGGI focuses primarily on 20th-century design, sourcing its objects from European auctions and second-hand markets. Each piece comes with a history of its own. Traces of use, small imperfections and patina are not something to hide — they become part of the object's identity.

In a world filled with perfectly identical products manufactured in thousands of copies, this individuality becomes increasingly valuable.

Against overproduction

OGGI was created as a conscious response to the accelerating cycle of production and consumption.

Instead of introducing more objects designed to last a season, the brand turns towards things that already exist — and can still remain beautiful, functional and relevant.

Here, vintage becomes more than an aesthetic choice.

It is a way of thinking about design and consumption: less, but better. With greater attention. With respect for materials, craftsmanship and the work that went into creating an object decades ago.

Today, true luxury can simply mean making a conscious choice.

Objects with another chapter ahead

OGGI is not interested in creating a museum of design.

These objects are meant to live.

To stand on a table. To be used. To transform a space. To coexist with contemporary art, fashion and objects designed today.

It is precisely this dialogue between different periods that allows us to see good design from a new perspective.

Beyond its curated vintage selection, OGGI also offers individual sourcing for specific objects, as well as rentals for photoshoots, productions and events.

OGGI × EIGHT

A selection of OGGI objects can now be discovered at EIGHT Concept Store, Szpitalna 8 in Warsaw.

At EIGHT, OGGI exists alongside independent fashion, art and contemporary design — becoming another part of a world built around objects with character, individuality and a point of view.

Because a good object does not have to belong to one particular era.

It simply needs to find another place to live.
